  • Still No Fix for Sub-folder Mail Notifications or VIP?

I use an exchange account at work which I have added to my iOS devices. With my exchange account, I also have rules setup so that emails from certain people or of a certain type get moved to specified sub-folders within my inbox. The issue I am having is although I have set which folders get "polled" automatically, i still have to remember to look within my exchange account under the "Accounts" section of the Mail app in order to tell if any of my subfolders have new messages. Once I go this far all of my folders that are automatically polled will show how many new messages they have next to them, but at the screen prior to this which shows the inboxes and also the "Accounts" section, it will only show the number of new messages which reside directly in the main inbox. I thought that I could possibly use the VIP selection in order to accommodate this limitation, but it doesn't work for messages t

Article: Organize and Folder Mail with SmartFolders for Mail [GIVEAWAY]

Sort and filter mail in the Mail.app with SmartFolders based upon conditions. We've discussed numerous times the areas of interest where the jailbreak community has filled the void when iOS didn't. Some of these areas include messages, mail, the notification center, and others. In regards to mail, one area that hasn't been touched upon is mail filtering. Now, I'm not referring to a spam filter, but a method by which to sort your incoming or existing mail on your iOS device. Thanks to a new tweak called SmartFolders by joedj, you can filter or sort your mail in your Mail.app based upon conditions. SmartFolders allows you to create virtual folders in your Mail.app to sort or filter mail, whether it is incoming or already in Mail.app. In order to set these conditions, you can go into Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> SmartFolders to add or delete various folders a

Ability to Search for Folder in Mail

Is anyone else hoping for the ability to search through your mail folders when moving an email to a subfolder? Or the ability to collapse your mail folders so you do not have to scroll through ALL of them to find the folder you want to drop the email in to? I hope this feature ends up in the final iOS 8 release.

Mail showing incorrect unread count after doing search. Sort of solved other issue

Edit: solved my 1st issue, it was a change to where to look for the purchased movies and shows that doesn't follow Apples own posted instructions from iOS 5.x. If anyone is wondering, you go to the iTunes app on my iOS 6 device, then More on the bottom right then select Purchased to view your iCloud accessible movies and TV shows you already paid for. I'll leave the original format of my questions below the same in case it helps others identify their issue. Also, while I have found a way to get the movies and shows I've downloaded, I still cannot click on the Purchased section of the App Store app and have it load my prior App purchases. It will still crash the App Store app each time. ==================== These are two issues I'm having. 1: If I open up the App Store app, go to updates then click on purchased, my data transfer status circle to the right of the time will run for about a mi

iOS 6 Mail App missing "continue search on server" function?

Is it just me, or did the iOS 6 version of the mail app remove the "continue searching on server" option when a search of downloaded emails doesn't return the desired results. I used that option a lot in iOS 5 to find older emails that were no longer synced onto the device. If anyone has any suggestions regarding this, I would love to hear them. Thanks.

Mail Search Doesn't Look Beyond Subject Line??

(Go to slide 5) Apparently the mail search function doesn't search within the body of emails? Am I reading that correctly? Can anyone verify this? I'm hoping that only applies to "server" searches and not emails that are already saved on the phone...

    VIP Mail Folder Not Working

I have a couple of people marked as VIPs but their emails do not show up in the VIP folder. They get stars by their emails in the Inbox and the custom alerts sound for them, but the VIP folder is empty. If I check the VIP folder at iCloud.com or on OS X Mail it works correctly; this only occurs on iOS on iPhone and iPad. Any ideas?
