iPod will not play on stereo system
I tried to play my iPod Classic 5th Generation on a new Panasonic Compact Stereo system. It reads 'checking connection' and doesn't play, yet will play my iPhone and other iPods. Surely it should be compatible?

iPod will not play WAV or AIFF formats
I've owned an iPod 160GB for about a year. Up till now it has played mp3, AAC, AIFF and WAV files without problems.
Since the last iTunes update 8.2 (23) my iPod will not play newly added WAV or AIFF files (it does play the old ones). All of those files are seen by iTunes, and all of them play on my computer.
Those that won't play are displayed on the iPod. It knows they're there. And I can scroll through them and select them and the screen will even come up to indicate to me that they're about to play (with the song running time "thermometer" at the bottom) they just won't start.
I've tried de-selecting them from the iTunes list, syncing again to remove them, then re-selecting them and syncing again with no change: they're displayed, they can be selected they just won't play.
These are songs that I have made myself in Logic Express and imported into iTunes. If I convert them into mp3 and sync again the

MP3 Will not play on iPod until played in iTunes
Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. This is bizarre: I have put some MP3 files on my iPod (4th Gen./40GB) only to find that they do not play (iPod keeps skipping tracks in the album until it gets to one it can play).
Out of curiosity, I decided to try to play the songs on the iPod from within iTunes (i manually sync and play my collection from the iPod on my laptop). Strangely, the songs play fine from within iTunes. What's even weirder, is now the songs play fine on the iPod all by itself.
So, after I play the tracks ON THE IPOD FORM WITHIN ITUNES, everything is fine, but I don't want to have to do that for every album that has this problem (I have had 3 so far that have done it).
I imagine it has something to do with the ID3 tags as that is the only thing I can think of that could be modified when a file is played that could cause the iPod to barf on it.
Anyone else have this problem?

iPhone will not play nice with any dock connector
Hi guys, I've tried searching (google and here) with no luck. I recently upgraded to 4.1 on my iPhone 3G. I used redsnow to jailbreak. My problem is that my phone will no longer play music through anything connected to the dock. It just hangs there if I'm in the iPod menu. It plays out of the normal speaker (sometimes) if I play it from the lockscreen. If I reboot or respring while it is still connected it freezes at the lockscreen.
I've tried restoring and it plays then. I've then ran the jailbreak and again it works fine. I assume that one a cydia app may be the culprit, but I'm not sure. I uninstalled all of them, then rebooted, and was still left with this problem.
I'm looking for anyone who may have the same, or similar, problem. Or anyone who knows if there is a diagnostics tool or something to help pinpoint the problem. Or any suggestions in general. Thank you.

iPhone 3GS will not play through car speakers...
I used my iPhone to record a video while snowboarding the other day and I fell. It got a little bit of snow on it, which I brushed off. Then I put the phone in my pocket, where whatever snow was left melted. My phone started giving me the "accessory not optimized for this iPhone" message every 15 seconds or so and no sound would come out. I stopped messing with it and let it dry for about 6-7 hours. When I checked it later, everything worked just fine. Now when I plug it I to my iPod adapter in my cars (I have one in each car), it won't play. In one car I have an FM transmitter that is wired directly into the back of the stereo. My phone will play music like it normally would, but no sound comes out of the speakers. In my other car I have an iPod controller that is wired directly into the stereo. When I plug my phone into that one, the iPod app starts freaking out and flashing between the song list screen and a blank screen that says that there is some accessory plugged in. B

iPhone 3g, speaker, mic, youtube, ipod will not work.
Just as the title says, I have an iPhone 3g (non jailbroken) whos mic, speaker, youtube, ipod and anything else pertaining to sound will not work.
Now it's not a it will play but there's not sound, it's a it won't even play. I click play on the iPod and it goes to the little two lines for pause and then immediately goes back to the play button, can't even skip forward in a song.
Whenever someone calls me I can't hear them and they can't hear me.
Whenever I try to plug my headphones into the jack and use the rocker to adjust the volume it shows that it's still on speaker.
Is there any fix that I can do to get this to start working? Or is it basically just broken?
There is no water damage or anything, one day everything just stopped working. I do still get texts but all the works is vibrate.
EDIT: Oh yes and it's no longer under warranty.
Thanks for any advice.

my ipod will not let me turn up the volume
so i have a 2g nano but it is not working properly. When I am listening to music the top part of the screen is fine, but the bottom (where the track length bar is) it is stuck on the "star ratings" screen (where you can rate your song with stars). and when i press the middle button nothing changes at all. Then i rotate the click wheel (still in the star rating screen) and it just fast forwards the song. So therfore it does not let me turn up the volume of my ipod. If any can please try and help me with my problem...THANKS!@!
